. Sid is survived by his wife Margery Allen
Dosh and daughter Shannon Deborah Dosh of Crystal River, Florida; son
Louis Russell Dosh and father Sidney Perry Dosh, Sr. of
Ocala
,
Florida
; along with six loving grandchildren Andrew,
Ashley, Zachary, Megan, Ryan and Annie.
Memorial services will be at
2:00pm
on
Thursday, May 25, 2006
at First Baptist Church of Cross City. A
visitation with the family will be held at
1:00 P.M.
in the church fellowship hall.
Sid Jr. was born in Ocala on October 18, 1938
and graduated from Ocala High School in 1956, attended Duke University
focusing on Business Administration, and studied Finance and Marketing
at Jacksonville University graduating in 1961. Later in life, Sid earned
his Masters Degree in Judaic Studies from
Spertus
College
in
Chicago
,
Illinois
. A native Floridian, Sid flourished in
Marion
county as a local business owner of Routed
Signs, Inc.
In mid life Sid followed in his grandfather’s
newspaper footsteps and became owner and editor of the Dixie County
Advocate. Always devoted to community organizations, Sid Jr. was a
member of the Rotary Club, Dixie County Chamber of Commerce, and the
Sons of Confederate Veterans.
Since a young boy, Sid was an active member of
Grace Episcopal Church. In his off time, Sid spent time with Abigail
Rose, his faithful Border Collie, enjoyed watching the wild life on
Hunter
Springs
, emailing family and friends and listening
to oldies on WDUV.
As a loving father, devoted husband and doting
grandfather, Sid will be best remembered for his outgoing personality,
generous heart and gift for writing.
